Our Commitment to the Environment

As a major supplier of air-conditioning and lighting products into a wide range of built environments, we take our responsibilities to the broader outside environment very seriously. We operate with a core set of principles which we believe ensure that our business practices are compatible with environmental sustainability.
Our core principles are as follows:

We will use recyclable material whenever possible and endeavour to do so in as many of our products as possible.
	Presently 90% of the materials used in our product lines are recyclable. We are targeting 100%.
Our products will comply with world best practice in terms of energy efficiency and reduction of carbon emissions.
	We utilise the latest lamp technologies and electronic control gear thereby minimising the number of light fittings and energy required. We were one of the early adopters of energy efficient T5 lamp fittings and our SlimTEC range of VAV units utilizes some of the most energy efficient components available.
We are committed to sourcing from suppliers who embrace environmentally responsible practices.
	We work closely with suppliers who have implemented environmentally sustainable manufacturing processes.
Limiting and eventually eliminating the use of paper and printed material.
	We currently restrict the amount of printed material we generate. We use the web as our primary marketing tool and interface with our customers and suppliers. Our goal is to become paperless by 2012.
We want to be involved in raising awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability.
	We are involved in a range of community initiatives and forums which assist communities and their members to better appreciate the importance of environmental sustainability.
